ArcdynTV

App

A native Apple TV app that puts live camera feeds on the television in the customer's living room — built for residential and small-commercial security installs where the customer wants to glance, not log in.

Category: Surveillance & Security Type: tvOS application Status: Shipped

Overview

Most surveillance viewing software assumes a technician at a workstation. The homeowner or shop owner wants something far simpler: turn on the TV, see the cameras. Every existing path to that involved a phone app, a browser, and a login.

ArcdynTV is a native tvOS application built in Swift and SwiftUI that discovers recorders on the local network, authenticates against them, and streams live feeds directly to the Apple TV — with a grid view, single-camera view, and a kiosk mode that locks to a layout and disables the idle timer for always-on wall displays.

The app is structured around a clean internal separation — discovery, device API, networking, streaming, persistence, and a shared design system as distinct modules — so support for additional recorder families is an adapter rather than a rewrite.
