TAMTAE
AppA private, mobile-first ritual for the two minutes before you start: say what makes the task hard, see the thinking pattern behind it, take one small step — then the app deliberately ends the session and lets you go.
Overview
People usually delay tasks not because they lack a system, but because starting feels uncomfortable — ambiguous, boring, or likely to expose them to failure. Conventional task managers answer that with more organization and more reminders, which is exactly the extra demand that makes avoidance worse.
TAMTAE (Task Avoidance Mitigation Through Articulation & Expression) targets the moment immediately before avoidance takes hold. A user articulates the resistance in their own words by voice or text, receives a brief reflection naming a possible unhelpful thinking pattern, and gets one small tailored next action.
The defining constraint is that it ends. It is explicitly not therapy, not a diagnosis, not a chatbot, and not a habit tracker — an open-ended AI conversation will discuss your procrastination for as long as you allow it, and a journal looks backward at your day. TAMTAE runs two to three minutes and then releases you to the task.
